Christians are shouted upon to care for each other, not just on sunlight but too in their daily lives. They share joys as well as sorrows, reinforcement each other during the unassailable cadences and the bad. Ruling elders, deacons and pastors also have special responsibilities. I give ear elders and deacons here because as well see subsequently this is more than one pastor can do alone. In this reflection I will mention a some of these special duties and responsibilities. In chapter one of his book, The Christian Pastor, Oates aptly describes the duties of the pastor during crisis.

He says that, in a single twenty-four hours a pastor may chat the mother of a new born baby, give focal point to a person who is becoming a Christian, talk with soaring civilize or college graduates about their life work, unite a couple up in marriage, comfort a pers on who is bereaved, call upon somebody who i! s facing a serious operation, listen to the expiry haggling of a patient who is dying.
